SitecoreDX Dubai Key Takeaways

Hi Folks,

I was fortunate to attend the SitecoreDX Dubai event yesterday, I learned a few things there so want to share those things with you as well.

In the Keynote of the SitecoreDX event, Sitecore CEO Steve mentioned Sitecore has 2 offices in the Gulf region now in Dubai and in Riyad, and stated that they continue expanding in the Gulf as Sitecore sees a lot of growth in this region. He continues with the 3 key points that he mentioned in SitecoreDX Minneapolis as well –

  1. Disrupt
  2. Accelerate
  3. Innovate

He gave some nice examples for the above 3 categories like Apple for disrupt, Netflix for accelerate, and Uber for Innovate. He mentioned Sitecore took the decision for transformation 4 years back and Created Sitecore XM Cloud whereas previously they only had Sitecore XP and XM, so they changed the platform from traditional to composable. As we know there will be no more upgrades needed in XM Cloud, it is easy to maintain, it consolidates different tech in one place, you can combine anything, and you can infuse Artificial Intelligence (AI) anywhere now.

Steve laid out 3 pillars that Sitecore has chosen are –

  1. Composable
  2. Versionless
  3. AI-Infused

A composable, version-perfect example is XM Cloud, which is both composable and version-less. Today everything is on AI, every single thing mentions AI today, when you think AI that comes to mind is content, so we are using AI for content.

Though XM Cloud is the fastest adaptive product not every customer wants to move to XM Cloud those are already on Sitecore XP/XM, so Sitecore will continue to invest in Sitecore XP/XM as well.

Sitecore’s new CMO Kathie Johnson then mentioned some interesting facts –

  1. 67% – % of buyer’s journey completed before talking to sales. – Forrester Research
  2. 95/5 Rule – Rule that only 5% of your customers are actively in the market at any moment in time. – Content Marketing Institute
  3. 7 Rule – Rule on how many times someone has to see the same message to take action.

By 2025, 30%of outbound marketing messages from large organizations will be synthetically generated, up from less than 2% in 2022.

By 2025, AI avatars leveraging text-to-video using generative AI technology will support 70% of digital and marketing communications.

By 2027, a major blockbuster film will be released with 90% of the film generated by AI (from text-to-video), from 0% in 2022.

She also mentioned 2 facts how are marketers using GenAI as mentioned in the above image?

Today GenAI is used as Content Ideation and Content Creation

In one year it will be used as Content Ideation + Content Scaling and Content Creation + Personalization + Search

Sitecore Chief Product Officer Dave O’Flanagan walked the crowd through Sitecore XP 10.4, which will be released in April. He mentioned that over 200 customers requested updates. Also, he shared Sitecore is planning for Sitecore XP 10.5 as well.

He mentioned It’s your #DXP, not ours!! Complete choice of solution is the future and we are the ONLY vendor to offer this to our customers.

User experience, content, journey analytics, and framework freedom are built with Sitecore XM Cloud and are part of our revolutionary DXP. You can use Sitecore XP with the modern cloud.

Today at DX Dubai, Sitecore proudly unveiled our groundbreaking initiative to accelerate the integration of GenAI across the entire content lifecycle, building towards the launch of Sitecore AI Studio, built on the robust foundations of our composable DXP framework.

He showed the AI Content Lifecycle as well.

Hope this post gives you some insight into the event.

Happy Sitecoring 🙂
